Introduction: Tamil Nadu public service commission as mandated by constitution of India is responsible for creating and providing public service. This commission aims to provide independent, ethical and effective services to meet the requirement of government of Tamil Nadu. TNPSC Recruitment 2013 Asst Commissioner and executive officer (Last date: 21/2/2013)
Tamil Nadu public service commission has invited application for the post of Assistant commissioner and executive officer Grade-I through its notification dated 21-02-2013. There are total 12 vacancies. 4 posts are vacant for assistant commissioner and 8 posts are vacant for the post of executive officer grade-I.There is reservation for candidates applying for both posts. The selected candidates will join their duty in Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department as administrator in case of assistant commissioner and as subordinate in case of executive officer. The pay scale for assistant commissioner is Rs. 15,600-39,100 +Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/- (PB3) and for executive officer is Rs.9,300 -34,800 +Grade pay Rs.4,900/-(PB2).
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates willing to apply for the post of assistant commissioner must not exceed maximum age limit of 32 years in case they are falling under others category as on 1-07-2013. In case candidates are of SC, ST, MBC/DC, BC and DW of any cast, their maximum age limit is 37 years.
- For the post of executive officer candidates not belonging to SC, ST, MBC/DC, BC and DW must not exceed maximum age limit of 35 years. However, there is no maximum age restriction for candidates falling under SC, ST, MBC/DC, BC and DW category of all castes.
- For the post of Assistant Commissioner: Candidates should posses a bachelor degree from any recognized university and should be a practicing advocate or pleader in court of civil or criminal jurisdiction for at least 3 years or served as executive officer/ inspector/ head clerk/ manager or superintendant in Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Administration Department.
- For the post of executive officer : Candidates for this post need to have a bachelor degree from any recogxnized university along with a degree in Law. Preference to candidates will be given in case they are employee of religious institution or having a diploma in epigraphy and archeology.
Candidates applying for both the above posts will have to qualify a computer based test (CBT) followed by an interview. The main examination will be of 900 Marks that will be conducted from 30-03-2013 to 31-03-2013. Reserved category candidates are required to secure at least 306 marks to qualify the exam. For others, minimum qualifying marks are 408. An interview of 120 Marks will be conducted before final selection. Examination centers along with their code numbers can be obtained from www.tnpsc.gov.in. Physical fitness certificate and other documents will be verified before recruitment.
