The public service commission associated with numerous states across the country provides innumerable job opportunities to the people of India in various fields of work. One of the branches of the commission, the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has invited applications for Tripura Civil Services (TCS) and Tripura Police Services (TPS), which belong to the Grade-2 of Group-A. For the purpose of recruitment process for these vacancies, TPSC is going to conduct a written examination for candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria and are interested in joining the commission on the mentioned positions whichever is relevant to them. Below are the TPSC Recruitment 2012 notification details. The applications need to be submitted before 5th October 2012.
TPSC Recruitment 2012 details
The TPSC has notified about 60 vacancies related to the Grade-2 posts of Tripura Civil Services (TCS) and Tripura Police Services (TPS). The break-up of the total number of vacancies on the basis of the posts and the reservation categories is as follows:
Tripura Civil Services (TCS) Grade-2: The total number of posts allotted for this post is 35, in which 17 vacancies are for the unreserved category candidates, 12 vacancies are for the scheduled tribe candidates and 6 vacancies have been allotted for the scheduled caste candidates.
Tripura Police Services (TPS) Grade-2: The total vacancies for this post are 25. 11 vacancies are for the candidates, who belong to the unreserved category. 8 vacancies have been allotted to candidates who are from the ST category and for the SC category candidates, 6 vacancies have been allotted.
There have been 3 different centers that have been determined for the examination, namely: (i) Agartala, (ii) Kailashahar & (iii) Udaipur.
TPSC Recruitment 2012 Eligibility Conditions
The most primary and basic criterion to be fulfilled in order to be eligible for the posts of TCS and TPS is to have an Indian citizenship.
The age limit that has been set for the available posts is 21 years and 40 years. However, age relaxations have been allowed for the candidates belonging to the reservation categories as per the rules and regulations of the government and the authorities. The candidates belonging to SC/ST and PH categories can be given a relaxation of 5 years on the upper age limit required for the vacancies. For the normal candidates, it is a mandatory requirement to be physically and mentally fit in order to apply for the available posts of their relevance.
As far as the educational qualification for these posts is concerned, the candidates need to have a degree from any government recognized university or institute to be eligible for the mentioned positions.
TPSC Recruitment 2012 Selection and Application Procedure
The final selection of the candidates would depend on their performance in the 3 main stages of examination. The first stage would be a Preliminary examination of multiple choice questions for a total of 200 marks for the test. The second stage is a proper written examination which would be the main examination for 800 marks. The third test would be a personality test for 100 marks. On the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in these tests, a medical fitness test and document verification stage will occur for the candidates. After all this, the final selection decision will be made.
The pay scale that has been fixed for the mentioned vacancies is Rs.
13575-37000+3700 grade pay. Apart from this minimum basic salary
structure, the selected candidates will be receiving numerous other
benefits and allowances as per the instructions of the government.
The application form needs to be filled with all the required information about the candidates as prescribed and instructed. The filled application form has to be attached along with all the necessary documents and certificates with the payment slip of the application fee and submit it before 5th October 2012 at the TPSC counter.
