About Karur Vysya Bank  Recruitment Project 2012 - 2013

According to the website of the bank, the financial institution has plans for expanding its horizons in the financial year 2012-13 and is going to increase the number of branches significantly from existing 451 to 570 by the end of the financial year. Hence, it requires persons with interest in banking sector for different job profiles, ranging from clerical cadre to managerial posts. Recently, an advertisement, which invites applications for the appointment of the clerical cadre, is out on the bank’s website as part of the Karur Vysya Bank Clerks Recruitment 2012 – 2013 Project. The process of registering online for the openings starts from 7-11-2012 and ends on 21-11.2012 (including).
   

Who can apply? / Who is eligible (Most Important)

Only the candidates who have a valid IBPS-CWE score card are eligible to apply for these openings. The minimum valid score is 125 and hence persons who have scored 125 or above marks in the Common Written Exam for Recruitment of Clerical Cadre conducted by IBPS in the year 2011 can apply.
   
Education as on 30.9.2012: The candidate should have been graduated (10+2+3 system) with at least 50% marks in any stream: science, commerce, or arts. Only a Bachelor’s degree by a recognised Indian university or equivalent qualifications recognised by the central government of India will be considered as appropriate (Qualification obtained through an Open University or through correspondence will not be considered). Knowledge of computer is essential for each applicant and hence a certified course of at least 3 months is required for the applicants who did have computer as a subject in the bachelors. 
  
Age as on 30.9.2012: Graduates should be between 21-28years of age (a relaxation of 5years is given to SC/ST candidates). Post Graduates and double degree holders should be between 21-30years of age (a relaxation of 5years is given to SC/ST candidates)
  

Recruitment or Selection Procedure

Depending upon the number of vacancies, the bank has every right to call only those applicants who have fared well in the exam and have sufficiently high scores for the interview round. One must not mistake the interview call as an affirmation to his/her appointment. A minimum score of 125 is a pre-requisite for the eligibility, provided that the individual cut-offs, which is 24, in each of the five sections of the CWE are cleared. After the final interviews, a list of successful candidates will be made public through various means, and each candidate will be informed about the results on the provided mail address.
   

How to Apply (Step by Step)

Step 1: The interested persons who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 250 (Rs. 100 for SC/ ST). The payment can either be made in cash by means of a payment Challan at any branch of the Karur Vysya Bank Limited or through NEFT (NATIONAL ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER) using the same bank. Following are the NEFT details:

iv. Bank: The Karur Vysya Bank Limited, Central Office, Karur
  
Any other method of payment barring the above two such as Demand Drafts, cheques, Money Orders, Postal Orders, Pay Orders, Banker’s Cheques, postal stamps, etc., will not be accepted.
The format of challan is on the website so one can print a copy of challan from there. The payment needs to be done between 7.11.2012 and 21.11.2012 (including the dates).

Step 2: After one is through with the payment process, one is left with the receipt of the challan, which the applicant needs to retain for further use. It has necessary details such as Voucher number /NEFT UTR No., Branch Code etc. filled in by the bank official. Moreover, at the time of the personal interview candidates will be required to submit the original copy so it is wiser to keep photocopies of the bank Challan.

Step 3: a) Candidates are required to apply online through website www.kvb.co.in (careers page). No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.
  
b) Candidates should ensure that their personal email ID (as specified in the online application form while applying for CWE conducted in 2011) is to be kept active. Bank may send call letters for interview to the registered e-mail ID.
  
c) Thereafter, open the link available in careers page “CLERICAL CADRE RECRUITMENT 2012-13”

Important Notes / Instruction

Each aspirant must be aware of the set criteria before applying for the openings as application fee will not be refunded in any circumstances.
  
Bank’s decision in the matter of selection will be final.
  
No expenses, allowance for lodging and travelling will be provided to the candidates during the process.
  
If the candidate has not furnished authentic documents, facts, information or fails to fulfil the criteria, his/her candidature will stand cancelled.
