BSNL Recruitment 2013 – 300 Telecom Technical Assistant Posts in Andhra Pradesh

BSNL Andhra Pradesh TTA Vacancy Details:
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has recently announced vacancies for Technical Telephony Assistants across different states. There are total 300 vacancies in Andhra Pradesh for Telecom Technical Assistants (TTA). These vacancies are distributed in secondary switching areas of Adilabad, ananthapur, chittor, Cudappa, east Godavari, gunthur, Hyderabad, karimnagar, Kamma, Krishna, Kurnool, mehbubnagar, Medak, Nalagonda, Nellore, nizamabad, prakasham, srikakulam, Vishakhapatnam, vizainagaram, warrangal and west Godavari.

Last Date for Receiving Application: 13-05-2013.
Date of Examination: 30-06-2013 [10.00 am to 01.00 pm]

Eligibility Criteria
  • Age Limit : interested individuals should be between 18 to 27 years as on last date of application submission
**SC/ST/OBC candidates will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit as per the guidelines of Government Of India.

2. Educational qualification:

a. Applicants should have completed a 3 year diploma in engineering in any stream related to Electronics and communication/ telecom/ IT/Radio/ Electrical/ Computer.

Or

b. Applicants should have completed their Masters in Electronics from a recognized institute.

BSNL Andhra Pradesh Examination Process

Applicants will need to undergo a written examination as a part of the selection process. Exam paper is an objective based paper of 200 marks. The paper is divided in three parts. First part is general ability, second part is basic engineering and third part is specialization. Specialization and basic engineering is of 90 marks each whereas general ability section is for 20 marks only. Examination will be for three hours.

Please note that there is a negative marking of 0.25% of the mark for the question, for every wrong answer given by the candidate.

BSNL AP TTA Syllabus Details
  • General Ability Test: This test will assess the candidate’s ability in English. It will include synonyms, antonyms, grammar, fill in the blanks, etc. it will also include questions on current affairs and day to day events.
  • Basic Engineering: This section will assess applicant’s knowledge on engineering principles and its application. Syllabus for this section broadly includes Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Basic electricity, Electronic devices ad circuits and digital techniques. It will include subjects related to acoustics, measurements, integral calculus, vector Algebra etc.
  • Specialization: This section will include topics related to electrical, computer, microprocessors, communication, network filters, transmissions, instruments and measurements, time response control systems, network systems etc.
  • Each of the above mentioned categories consists of different topics. Some of the common topics are Routh’s table, stability characteristics, relative stability, phase margin, gain margin, modulation and demodulation principles, Torque measuring devices, transformers, rectifiers, inverters, fluctuation of different measurement systems, single feedback configuration, time lag, single loop, open loop, and closed loop communications etc. interested candidates are requested to visit the official website www.ap.bsnl.co.in for detailed syllabus.
