Public Banks recruiting Clerks across the nation -39,600 Vacancies

Introduction
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, popularly known as IBPS has been in existence for about four decades now. They design and develop hiring procedures, tests and interview formats for their clients. Institute of Banking Personnel selection has the ability to test around 1 million participants simultaneously. IBPS is currently recruiting personnel in clerical cadre for 19 public sector banks. Each of these banks are regulated by Government of India.

  
Recruitment Details
IBPS recently issued an official notification regarding recruitment for clerical positions across different public sector banks in India. There are total of 39,600 vacancies that are divided across 19 banks. These vacancies are multi state ad multi branch vacancies. Candidates will now have the ability to list their preference for banks in order of most preferred to least preferred. Selected individuals will be allotted their respective work branches on basis of the preference list. Competitors will be allotted their branches by end of May. The entire selection and allotment process is strictly on merit basis only.
Shortlisted individuals will be appointed as clerks in the bank branches that are allotted to them on basis of preference registration.

  
Please note that appointment will be subject to participant’s acceptance of the bank and branch allotment.
  
Important Dates
Preference registration Dates: qualifying persons can register their preference online from 15th April 2013 to 22nd April 2013.
  
Eligibility
Applicants who have cleared the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS in December 2012 along with the clearance of their personal interview round are eligible to register their preference online.
Please note that IBPS will announce any new eligibility criteria at this stage. The candidates may need to undergo formal verification process. They would need to provide relevant educational documentations like degree certificates and marks card for verification. Competitors should also keep the print out of Common Written Examination December 2012 result handy.
  
Process of Preference Registration
Competitors who have successfully cleared their Common written Examination and personal interviews are invited to register their preference online. Successful entrants should visit the official website www.ibps.in to register their preference. Links for preference registration are open from 15th April 2013 to 22nd April 2013. Preference of the banks needs to be listed in order of most preferred to least preferred.

Applicants who are successfully allotted shall be intimated via SMS or email. It is vital that competitors keep the mail ids and contact numbers active throughout the process. IBPS shall not shoulder any responsibility if the competitor fails to claim the bank allotted to him or her.
  
It is important to note that successful entrants who fail the verification process will face immediate termination of their allotment. Similarly , individuals who fail to accept the branch allotted to them will also face immediate termination of their allotment.
  
Pay Scale
Individuals who accept the allotment will be appointed as a clerk in the respective banks. Pay scale for clerical positions will be confirmed in the appointment letter. Probation period, if any shall be mentioned explicitly in the appointment letter.
